Providing a voice for healthcare leaders: influencing and representing
We work to influence key decisions and national policy developments on behalf of our members:
- representing members' views to Government, parliament and national stakeholders
- providing a strong voice for healthcare leaders on issues of shared concern
- ensuring an autonomous voice for distinct parts of the healthcare system
- providing opportunities to engage directly with policy-makers and key influencers.
Sense-making: insight and analysis
We help our members to make sense of an increasingly fluid and diverse healthcare system and keep abreast of the complex policy agenda:
- delivering high-quality analysis and insight into national healthcare policy
- providing regular and timely briefings to summarise policy initiatives
- publishing detailed reports to assess the impact of policy on the planning, commissioning and delivery of system-wide services
- holding regular policy events to provide up-to-the-minute information on policy developments and trends
- delivering daily press summaries, an online public affirs service and a monthly Health Policy Digest e-newsletter to provide the latest healthcare news, views and commentary.
Bringing people together: networking and learning
We bring our members together with people from across the world of health and social care to discuss system-wide issues, share knowledge and develop new ideas:
- hosting events, networking and engagement opportunities with colleagues working across all parts of the health and social care system
- building strong links on behalf of members with national stakeholders and partners
- delivering an annual conference to bring together leaders and decision-makers from across the world of health and social care. Members are entitiled to a reduced delegate rate.
