Jo Webber, Director, Ambulance Service Network
Prior to her current post, Joanna (Jo) Webber worked as a Policy Manager with the NHS Confederation, following her previous role as Director of Clinical Services at Broxtowe and Hucknall PCT with responsibility for provider services; workforce issues, which included employee relations, staff development, and recruitment and retention initiatives; clinical risk and quality assurance; and partnership working and joint commissioning.
Jo Webber was previously Acting Director of Operations and Assistant Director of Nursing at Nottingham Community Health NHS Trust and a member of Nottinghamshire’s Joint Commissioning Forum for Children’s Services and the Children’s Trust Steering Group. Her policy areas at the Confederation include children’s policy, older people and adult social care, public health and partnerships/local strategic partnerships, as well as PCT issues and futures. She is also currently interim director of the Ambulance Service Network.
Geraint Davies, Director of Business Development, South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust
Geraint Davies, Director of Business Development, was appointed to the Board of South East Coast Ambulance Service in 2006. Prior to that, he held senior positions within the NHS and related organisations for over twenty years, ranging from organisational to strategic roles. He possesses a breadth of knowledge and skills relating to the NHS as well as an extensive experience of commissioning and service improvement and development.
Geraint is also a member of the Board of Governors of East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust and is Chair of the National Ambulance Service Improvement Directors Group. He is also a member of the Finance & Business Development Committee,
Risk Management & Clinical Governance Committee and Workforce Development Committee.
John Coutts, Governance Advisor, Foundation Trust Network
John Coutts has been Governance Advisor at the FTN since February 2009. John has more than twenty years experience of advising boards in the public and private sector. He began his career in local government as a residential social worker. He subsequently changed careers moving into corporate policy management and then into the field of governance. Prior to joining the FTN he worked in the private sector for a consultancy specialising in corporate and public sector governance.
Paul Ferguson, Deputy Director of Service Development, North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust
Paul has had a varied and extensive career in NHS Ambulance Services dating back to 1982. He initially undertook the full range of front line operational roles and qualified as a Paramedic in 1988. Paul has since held senior positions in emergency ambulance operations, training, and control in the North West and in West Yorkshire.
Paul is currently the Deputy Director of Service Development for the North West Ambulance Service and has a key role in the implementation of major service change initiatives including the introduction of a Capacity Management System and NHS Pathways. Paul also leads on the NWAS involvement in Care Pathway Development and major service reconfigurations.
Paul holds a Masters in Business Administration and is currently studying for a Masters in Public Health at the University of Liverpool.
