The next latest FTN benchmarking project will investigate maternity services.
This is the UK’s most detailed benchmarking project on maternity services and should help trusts to make efficiency savings while improving quality.
Trusts will be able to compare their performance with other trusts and learn from others facing the same challenges. There are up to 24 places available for this benchmarking exercise. As part of the benchmarking process, the trusts in the group generate validated, comparable data to provide a solid basis for learning, planning and also reporting back to their trust boards.
The FTN's specialist benchmarking team works in partnership with leading management consultants McKinsey & Company.
The maternity project will start in early November 2010 culminating in a findings workshop in February 2011. Interested trusts should register for a place using the FTN benchmarking website. The deadline for confirming a place has been extended until Monday 20 September 2010.
