The event opened with a keynote speech on the quality agenda from Dr Penny Dash, Partner, Mckinsey & Company followed by a series of workshops/seminars which provided participants with practical help in planning producing their quality accounts - in line with the Department of Health Quality Accounts consultation which closed in December 2009.
The event showcased how far foundation trusts had come on the quality journey and their aspirations for the future. Members also had the opportunity to share their experience in producing their first quality reports.
Following the workshops there was a drinks reception and an early evening lecture given by John Kay, Economist which was attended by FTN members and representatives from the wider policy field.
The FTN also launched a publication (downloadable below) on the practical elements of producing quality accounts, including engagement and assurance.
