Company Secretaries' Development Programme
The FTN has established a series of development programmes specifically for foundation trust company secretaries. These are delivered by Cass Business School in London and Manchester Business School in Manchester. A third distance learning programme is currently under development in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and will be ready later in 2011.
Governors' Development Programme
The FTN runs a development programme specifically aimed at foundation trust governors. It is delivered in partnership with the Foundation Trust Governors' Association and gives governors the opportunity to meet together, learn, network and share experience with governors from other foundation trusts.
The programme is delivered regionally and in 2011 meetings will take place from July onwards.
Preparation Programme
The FTN established the Preparation Programme in 2006. It is an ongoing programme of support for aspirant foundation trusts open to both members and non-members of the Foundation Trust Network and is funded by the Department of Health.
The programme gives applicants access to the keyy figures involved in FT applications at Monitor, the Department of Health and SHAs as well as facilitated shared learning between colleagues in aspirant and authorised foundation trusts. We do this using a comprehensive series of events, resource packs, mentoring and other opportunities, covering all aspects of the FT application process.
