Liz Felton 

 
Liz trained as a psychiatric nurse at Hollymoor Hospital in Birmingham between 1979 and 1982.

She worked in in-patient settings in acute admissions and rehabilitation, as Assistant Manager in a registered care home run by Focus Housing Association and then as a Community Psychiatric Nurse in Birmingham.

Liz joined Rethink as District Manager in 1990 and was responsible for developing and running community based, day, employment and befriending services.  She then worked as Deputy Regional Director and Regional Director for Rethink in the West Midlands.

Liz was Deputy Chief Executive at Rethink from 1996 to 2006 with responsibility for service provision for the organisation nationally.

Liz has been Chief Executive at Together since November 2006.  Liz is a board member of the Voluntary Sector Mental Health Providers Forum and sits on the board of the NHS Confederation’s Mental Health Network as a representative of the voluntary sector.

Liz’s particular interests are service user involvement, the role of the voluntary sector as providers of support services, commissioning and strategic planning.
