Membership criteria
Membership to the network is open to independent sector providers who provide NHS patient care services at primary, secondary or acute level, including diagnostic services.
NHSPN members must also be a prime contractor to an NHS commissioning body.
Organisations may join the network as full members or associate members.
Full members enjoy the following priority benefits:
- Full access to the network, communications, director and the team
- Priority invitations to all Partners Network and NHS Confederation events (receptions and dinners etc) to represent our ISP membership
- The right to stand for election to the NHS Partners Network board
- Permission to attend selected board meetings as observers if not elected to board seats
- Full members form the 'pool' for chairmanship of our various work stream groups
- Quarterly Director's report providing an in-depth analysis of current healthcare issues and policies and how the network will respond to them
- Full members are able to steer the direction of the network, influencing its work programme, setting objectives and identifying priorities that the network should work towards.
Associate members of the network will enjoy the following benefits:
- All NHS Partners specific and core NHS Confederation communications and publications, excluding the director's report
- Associate members will be consulted about all NHS Partners Network policy positions
- Invited to participate in all of the network work streams
- Associate members would be able to vote for a collective representative for them to sit on the Board. Associate members will not have permission to join board meetings as observers.
- Associate members will not normally receive invitations to attend network or NHS Confederation events, where numbers are limited however specific expertise may override this principle on occasions.
