Clinical Forum

The Clinical Forum, a subgroup of NHS Partners Network (NHSPN), focuses on elements of clinical care and regulation relating to NHS patients, consistent with the wider remit of NHS Partners Network.

The Clinical Forum remains one of the network’s most active and effective groups. The most important aspect of the forum’s work has been to oversee our participation in the sector-wide data benchmarking project – the ‘Hellenic’ project.

NHS Choices

Access to the NHS Choices preview tool

Each month NHS Choices publish clinical indicators based on common procedures for public information. As these indicators are unique, a preview tool has been developed to allow healthcare providers to view indicator values for their organisation before publication. This allows providers to examine the indicators and raise any concerns they may have with the data or methods used to generate these values before they are released to the public. Access to the preview tool can be obtained by e-mailing NHSCHoicesIndicators@ic.nhs.uk

New Editing Options for NHS Choices Profiles

The NHS Choices team is updating the process by which providers can edit their profiles on the NHS Choice websites. Providers will be able to edit and update their profiles in real time and to the same degree as NHS providers.
Read the letter introducing the changes.

NHS Choices is also hosting workshops on the new system which will be held in May. Further details can be found on the NHSPN events page.

Patient comments

The NHS Choices website has a facility for patients to leave comments about provider services and we are aware that some NHS patients have posted comments about independent poviders charges inappropriately.

Independent sector charges obviously do not apply to NHS patients and independent providers can ask NHS Choices to remove these comments.

If you are aware of patient comments about your organisation's fees and would like them to be removed from the NHS Choices website please contact either NHS Choices website directly using their online feedback pages or email mail@grahamkendall.com to have these comments removed.
