It was the most recent in the network’s quarterly series of forums designed to create learning, knowledge sharing and networking opportunities for senior managers and chairs in PCT provider arms.
Matthew Winn, Chair of Cambridgeshire Primary Care Trust kindly chaired the event for the day which was sponsored by Dynamic Change. Key speakers from the Department of Health and the Care Quality Commission provided members with an update on the Contract, the new registration process and transforming community services.
The event was also an opportunity for the network to launch its most recent briefing. The Future of Community Services outlines the main changes that will affect community services. This briefing also provides its members with the NHS Confederation view on the changes that will take place. Joe Gannon, Programme Director, Transforming Community Services, Department of Health (DH), started the day with his presentation which provided delegates with a policy update and developments from the department
Delegates were then divided into two groups and took part in two separate workshops. The workshops included presentations from key speakers and group work, allowing delegates to share ideas and experiences with their peers around the key areas of discussion.
