The IKON (Innovation, Knowledge & Organizational Networks) Research Unit at Warwick Business School and Warwick Medical School reported emerging insights from the work led by Professor Davide Nicolini, Professor of Organization Studies at Warwick Business School, around how chief executives of NHS trusts use knowledge and 'evidence' in their daily work and what do they actually do on an everyday basis. Davide presented with Dr Maja Korica.
Davide and Maja's presentation is unavailable to view as research findings are preliminary.
In addition to the front edge of health services research, delegates found out more about the new NIHR Health Services and Delivery Research (HS&DR) Programme and used the opportunity to influence priorities for future research commissioning.

About the SDO Network Chief Executives' Southern Forum:
The SDO Network Chief Executives’ Forums are your opportunity to hear about recent and relevant health services research and to engage with researchers currently looking into how healthcare services are delivered and organised as part of the NIHR SDO Research Programme.
Open only to Chief Executives from across the NHS, these meetings will give you the chance to learn how research can support you in delivering your business priorities and discuss the implications of their findings for your organisation and the wider NHS with leading researchers and your peers.
The SDO Network hosts two regional forums in London and Leeds, each meeting twice per year. For information about the Northern Forum, click here. If your organisation is not a member of the SDO Network, you may still attend the forum, although you will be asked to sign up to the network following the meeting.
Each of these evening meetings will start with presentations and discussions with leading health services researchers and will be followed by a drinks reception and networking dinner. Numbers for each meeting will be limited to encourage and facilitate lively debate throughout the meetings, so please book early to secure your place.
