Chief Executives Dinner Forums

Join the SDO Network Chief Executives Dinner Forums to hear about the latest and most relevant health services research to support your business priorities.

The SDO Network Chief Executives Dinner Forums provide an opportunity for senior managers from across the NHS to hear about recent and relevant health services research and to engage with researchers currently looking into how healthcare services are delivered and organised as part of the NIHR SDO Research Programme. The SDO Network hosts two regional Chief Executives Dinner Forums, each meeting twice per year.

Southern Forum: 12 January 2012
Chaired by Sir Ron Kerr, Chief Executive of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

Northern Forum: 1 February 2012
Chaired by Professor Mike Cooke CBE, Chief Executive, Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust

Membership of the Chief Executives’ Forums provides a unique space to learn about how academic research can support NHS managerial challenges in the current climate. It gives you the opportunity to engage with researchers, network with fellow chief executives and get more involved in the work of the SDO Network and NHS Confederation. The forum is a key strand of the SDO Network’s work in helping the NHS to improve quality in a more financially constrained environment and influence the way in which the NHS can benefit from the depth of research evidence available.

Your organisation does not currently need to be a member of the SDO Network to attend a Chief Executives' Forum, however you will be encouraged to sign up for free membership following the meeting. Membership of the SDO Network is free-of-charge.
