NIHR SDO Management Fellows
Management fellows assist with the various stages of the project (e.g. from design through to fieldwork, data analysis and reporting) and act as a ‘knowledge broker’ between the research team and the local NHS.

Directly involving management fellows in these research projects is intended to:
- enhance the research projects - improving the quality and relevance of the research through greater managerial involvement;
- develop the capacity of the management fellows and the local management communities to access, appraise and use research evidence;
- encourage closer links between researchers and managers.
