Significant progress has been made in improving the health and well-being of children and young people over the last five years. However, some children and young people still fail to receive the highest standards of healthcare attainable.
In order to generate consensus across child health professionals in the NHS and local government, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and the NHS Confederation, with support from the Office for Public Management, held an event in September 2011 to discuss the key priorities for child health and the reforms.
