Building on the success of two sold-out modules earlier this year, the Local Growth Academy
has launched four new modules
to help NHS organisations and other anchor institutions build on their operational capacity and maximise involvement in local developments.
The first module, Knowing Me, Knowing You, will take place on 15 November in Manchester. It is also being delivered on 14 November in London.
All modules cost £99 per person, including VAT.
What will I learn?
The expected industrial strategy white paper will emphasise the importance of place-based initiatives, yet for these to truly work local leaders and teams need to work across sector boundaries in new and challenging ways.
This interactive session will help NHS, university and local government officials build a better understanding of the organisational and cultural differences that exist between these key sectors and to identify practical opportunities for collaborative working across anchor institutions.
Experienced representatives of the three sectors will lead in-depth presentations of the legal, financial and structural characteristics that mark their sector as unique, including a specific focus on current priorities and the longer-term direction of travel.
Delegates will have the opportunity to participate in two back-to back sessions, ensuring they gain the knowledge necessary to establish lasting local relationships.
The afternoon will see a focus on existing case studies where the three sectors are working closely together at the local level, helping to identify the key principles for collaborative practical action.
Who should attend?
Senior members working within the NHS with responsibility for strategy, finance, transformation or external stakeholder management.
