Vanessa Young, Director, Welsh NHS Confederation said “ The latest NHS activity and performance statistics are encouraging and indicate that progress is being made in a number of areas, such as diagnostic, urgent cancer and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services waiting times.

“While we know that more work is needed to continue improvements to meet the waiting times targets, including unscheduled and schedules care, the NHS is committed to providing high-quality patient focused safe care.

“We recognise that some people are waiting longer that we would want and we will keep prioritising and make every effort to further improvement in our performance.”
