In this report the Health Select Committee looks at the impact of Brexit, particularly in relation to workforce and recruitment. The report asserts that with 60,000 non-UK EU staff, the NHS is heavily reliant on EU workers and recommends that this be acknowledged in any Brexit negotiation. The report finds that although impacted by Brexit, recent falls in recruitment are difficult to attribute to any one area.

Researchers from the Health Foundation look at trends in community care contracting

It finds that while private providers hold a large number of community care contracts, these tend to be smaller, single service contracts, within a dispersed market.

How will the election of Metro Mayors influence regional health transformation?

Centre for Health Economics looks at demographic financial trends in health care costing

Using financial data on health care costs in England from 2011-2012, this report analyses how far age, sex and income impact the health care costs of a range of demographics. It finds higher costs for people living in deprived neighbourhoods, a spike in costs for women of child-bearing age, and a steep and steady increase for people over the age of 60.
