O Rethreg i Realaeth - Iechyd ac Addysg

Yn Ionawr 2014 lansiodd Conffederasiwn GIG Cymru ei bapur trafod “O Rethreg i Realaeth – GIG Cymru mewn 10 mlynedd”.

Mae’r papur gwybodaeth hwn, a gynhyrchwyd ar y cyd gyda NIACE Cymru, llais cenedlaethol dysgu gydol oes yng Nghymru, yn dangos manteision addysg a dysgu ar iechyd a llesiant, ac yn ymchwilio rôl bosibl addysg wrth ostwng pwysau ar ystod eang o wasanaethau iechyd, ar yr un pryd â hybu ansawdd ac amseroldeb gwasanaethau.

Pwyntiau allweddol
• Mae addysg a dysgu gydol oes yn ffactorau allweddol wrth benderfynu ar ganlyniadau Iechyd y boblogaeth. Mae’r rhai sy’n cymryd rhan mewn addysg oedolion yn gweld gwelliannau mewn iechyd, llesiant ac ymddygiad cysylltiedig ag iechyd.
• Mae tystiolaeth gynyddol i ddangos rôl addysg a dysgu wrth gynorthwyo triniaeth afiechyd corfforol a hefyd afiechyd meddwl.
• Gall addysg fod â rhan allweddol wrth gefnogi Llywodraeth Cymru i wella iechyd y cyhoedd yng Nghymru a gweithredu ‘gofal iechyd darbodus’.
• Mae manteision ehangach o weithio gyda’r sector cyhoeddus a’r trydydd sector yn fwy eang i ddarparu gwasanaethau ansawdd uchel a gofal sy’n canoli ar y person.
