PCN webinar: mental health practitioners
The introduction of the mental health practitioner role from April 2021 through the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme has come at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic has driven an increase in patients presenting in general practice with mental health needs.
This webinar, jointly delivered by the NHS Confederation's PCN Network and Mental Health Network, explored how working collaboratively with mental health providers, CCGs and PCNs can create opportunities to initiate improvements, tackle some of the most challenging cases, as well as explore some of the potential challenges of working across multiple organisations.
It also provided an opportunity to put questions regarding the technicalities of the role directly to representatives from NHS England and NHS Improvement.
