Watch: Fireside chat on tackling women's health inequalities
Speakers
About the event
On Monday 22 July the Health and Care Women Leaders Network held its fourth virtual fireside chat, from 5 – 6.15pm.
The conversation was led by network chair Samantha Allen and deputy chair Tracie Jolliff, in discussion with Professor Bola Owolabi, GP and Director of the National Healthcare Inequalities Improvement Programme at NHS England.
Together they explored the intersectionality of women's health inequalities, the systemic barriers faced by women, and strategies to address these challenges to enhance equity in healthcare for women.
On the day, delegates had the opportunity to:
- gain insights from Professor Bola Owolabi on factors contributing to women's health inequalities
- understand how systemic barriers affect women's access to healthcare
- learn how to address these challenges and enhance equity in healthcare.
