NHS Confederation responds to call for people to take vital flu and Covid 19 vaccines
Dr Layla McCay, director of policy at NHS Confederation, said:
“With cases of coronavirus rising and the NHS gearing up to respond to the most challenging winter on record, it is vital that everyone eligible gets their boosters and flu vaccines so that they can protect themselves and those around them. Already, the NHS has supported over 2.1 million people to get their booster vaccines over the last two weeks and there are now several ways that primary care, pharmacy and other services are making these possible. However, hitting the target of 30 million people will require everyone eligible to continue to come forward to take up this offer and so it is vital that the Government keeps this message alive over the coming weeks and months.”
