NHS Employers comment on industrial action pay talks

Following the latest industrial action pay talks, Danny Mortimer, Chief Executive of NHS Employers said:

"Employers were pleased to join what we felt were constructive and cordial discussions with the Secretary of State and our trade union colleagues.  It is unfortunate that the discussions today were not able to realise tangible outcomes which would prevent industrial action in the remainder of this month.  For our part we remain committed to working with trade unions and the government to resolve this dispute and to improve matters for the longer term."
