Amanda Whittaker-Brown
Amanda has over thirty years’ experience of working in the public sector, primarily in local government but also in the police service, the Home Office and the Audit Commission. Amanda is now a Senior Advisor in the Care and Health Improvement Programme (CHIP), which is jointly delivered by the Local Government Association (LGA) and Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS). In 2020 Amanda established a new CHIP workstream to help councils to address their priority to support the adult social care workforce. Working alongside the LGA Workforce Team, CHIP and ADASS regional leads, councils, providers, unions and partners, Amanda leads a programme of work to help to deliver transformational change, working collaboratively to diagnose and co-produce sustainable solutions to address national workforce challenges as well as providing regional or bespoke support to address local issues for councils.
