Andrew Longhurst
Andrew is a political economist and health policy researcher, PhD candidate in the Department of Geography at Simon Fraser University (Burnaby, British Columbia), and research associate with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives. He has also served as senior advisor to the British Columbia Ministry of Health Primary and Community Care Research Initiative.
Andrew is a frequent commentator and publishes on a variety of topics, including primary care reform and healthcare finance. His PhD research, funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, examines funding and governance innovations and new organisational models of general practice and primary care in British Columbia, England, and Scotland.
