Anita Salhotra

Anita joined the external affairs team at the NHS Confederation in October 2024. She has a decade of experience in public relations specialising in healthcare communications. Anita has managed high profile media campaigns and reputations for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients through working at healthcare PR agencies such as Porter Novelli and charities including Dementia UK and Parkinson’s UK.

She studied Biology at Royal Holloway, University of London, and is a strong advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging along with human and women’s rights. 

Outside of work, Anita is an avid reader, passionate Liverpool FC football fan, traveller, film buff and yoga enthusiast. She speaks Punjabi and Hindi and is keen to use her multicultural lens to tell the stories that need to be told through the media to make a difference.
