Charles Summers

Director of Engagement and Development, Dorset ICS

Charles Summers joined the NHS in 1995 and has worked in various health settings, developing organisations and enhancing culture through people management. Charles has worked at executive level with a number of NHS boards since 2005 and is currently Director of Engagement and Development with Dorset CCG.

Working within the Dorset ICS, Charles has shaped the system’s workforce approach, from the initial STP developments into the CCGs lead role in growing the system’s workforce capacity.

Charles is currently acting as the Programme SRO for the CCG transfer and ICS establishment and contributes to a number of national health networks and fora. Charles holds an MSc in Human Resources Leadership from Manchester Business School and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and an executive coach.
