Dame Jackie Daniel
Jackie Began her NHS Professional career as a nurse before moving into NHS management. Following a decade at board level she then became a CEO. A CEO for 22 years she led acute, mental health, specialist and community services - most recently CEO at Newcastle Hospitals, one of the largest hospitals in the UK.
Not afraid to take on a challenge Jackie has led several complex turnarounds including financial, quality and cultural issues. She has a track record of transformation and bringing innovative and enterprising solutions to solve complex issues.
In 2017, Jackie was recognised in the Queens new Years honours list and awarded DBE for her services to the NHS.
Since retiring from her full time CEO role Jackie fulfils a few strategic advisory roles. A global luminary with Accenture - advising on the transformation of healthcare business and pioneering new market technologies. She holds several trustee roles including with the NHS Confederation.
Jackie is a respected thought leader on inclusive business cultures and talent development. She is passionate about health as an asset and realising the benefits from the deep connections between health, wealth (the economy) and wellbeing. She is an Executive in Residence at The University of Lancaster Business School and is a regular public speaker at a range of forums and events across the broad spectrum of media.
