David Radbourne

South east regional director of strategy and transformation, NHS England and NHS Improvement

As Regional Director for Strategy and Transformation, David works as part of the Regional Executive team to take forward the objectives of NHS England and NHS Improvement as a combined organisation. His portfolio centres on Long Term Plan delivery, the development of Integrated Care Systems as well as developing new models of care delivery.

He joined the NHS in 1995 and has worked in a variety of roles including providers, commissioners and SHAs. He joined NHS England in July 2016 as Regional Director of Assurance and Delivery for NHS England South and prior to that led the West Herts Whole System Strategic Review and was Chief Operating Officer for Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust.

In his personal life David likes to spend time outdoors with his wife and our three children. They are keen campers and are also members of the National Trust – which is great because they have lots of gardens and parks as well as historic buildings within travelling distance of their home in Oxfordshire.
