Dawn Adams

Head of Yorkshire Ambulance Service Academy and Chair, Women and Allies Network

Dawn is an experienced learning leader, with over 30 years experience working in the public sector. She joined the Yorkshire Ambulance Service in June 2020 and is currently acting up in the role of associate director of Education and Organisational Development. Dawn previously worked in policing at force, regional and national levels.

As chair of the Women and Allies’ Network, Dawn led the setting up and launch of the network in autumn 2022.

She is proud to work in the NHS and is passionate about enabling others to develop and reach their full potential.

Dawn firmly believes in the importance of continuous learning, advocating for the acquisition of new skills and knowledge, challenging existing attitudes and beliefs. She sees this not only as essential for current and future effectiveness but also as a source of empowerment, energy, and catalyst for inclusion and innovation.
