Dr Andy Hilton
Andy is a GP partner in Sheffield and chief executive of Primary Care Sheffield. His background is in both health commissioning and in provision having worked in the past for primary care trusts and clinical commissioning groups as well as for larger scale primary care provider organisations.
As a clinician he remains rooted in the day-to-day issues of patient care, as chief executive of PCS he is an influential system leader both in Sheffield’s Accountable Care Partnership and South Yorkshire & Bassetlaw’s ICS and has contributed to a range of national work to develop the primary care agenda with NHS England and NHS Improvement, including groups developing PCNs and Extended Access.
Andy believes passionately not just in the role Federations can play in local systems but also about the real importance of resilient, robust, consistent primary care in its broadest sense at the heart of health and care.
