Dr Charlie Andrews

Charlie is a GP with an extended role in gastroenterology (GPwER) based near Bath. He works both as a GP partner at Somer Valley Medical Group in Midsomer Norton and has a role working in gastroenterology as an endoscopist in his local area.  

Alongside his clinical roles, he works for NHS England developing and leading the GPwER in gastroenterology training programme in the southwest of England and is now being offered more widely beyond the region, supported by a framework endorsed by both the primary and secondary care national gastroenterology societies, the Primary Care society of Gastroenterology (PCSG) and the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG). He is a committee member of the PCSG and is the host of the primary care focused educational podcast called Ingest.
