Dr Jonathan Griffiths

GP and Associate Medical Director for Primary Care at NHS Cheshire and Merseyside

Jonathan is a GP in Winsford Cheshire. He works as a partner at Swanlow Medical Centre for two days per week, and spends the rest of the week in other roles.

He is also Associate Medical Director for Primary Care at NHS Cheshire and Merseyside. He is an experienced clinical leader having previously worked as a CCG Chair. Jonathan is passionate about general practice as well as how we can work better across whole systems and improve our relationships with colleagues from other sectors.

He was Clinical Chair of NHS Vale Royal Clinical Commissioning Group from 2013 until the end of 2019, and over the past several years has established himself as a blogger and speaker, with an active social media presence and a TEDx Talk entitled ‘Choosing to be a Jack of All Trades.'

Jon works as an external partner on our Improving Interface Working Across Primary and Secondary Care programme.
