Dr Loannis Saxionis

GPST3 and Patient Safety Fellow

Dr Loannis Saxionis is a GPST3 and patient safety fellow at the Wessex Deanery, with a keen interest in enhancing continuity of care in primary care settings. He received a Research Fellowship piloted for the first time in the country, during which he played a key role in researching the impact of microteams at the Living Well Partnership. 

Following this, he was awarded the Research in Your Career Award by the Academy of Research and Improvement, supporting his further development in research. In addition to his clinical and academic research responsibilities, he serves as the outgoing exchange coordinator for the Royal College of General Practitioners Junior International Committee, promoting global collaboration and knowledge exchange in primary care.
