Dr Masood Ahmed
Dr. Masood Ahmed is a prominent leader in the NHS, with a 20+ year track record in digital transformation, leadership development, healthcare innovation and reshaping the workforce. He serves as a Non-Executive Director at Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Partnership Trust, Associate NED at Kingston Hospital and Hounslow & Richmond Community NHS Trust, and Visiting Lecturer at UCL Global Business School for Health. Additionally, he is a Trustee at the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, on the editorial board of the Integrated Care Journal, and is an advisor to start-ups and healthcare organisations internationally.
Masood is deeply committed to the EDI agenda and is passionate about teaching, mentoring and developing future leaders through his work at UCL Global Business School for Health, Oxford University and as a member of the national NHS Confederation BME Leadership Network Steering Group, where he has led the development of a national BME leadership mentoring programme.
His extensive career includes serving as Global Medical Director at Dell, regional CCIO for NHS Midlands, and Chief Medical Officer for NHS Black Country and West Birmingham CCG during the pandemic. As Chief Digital Information Officer, he led the crafting of the 'digital first, not digital only' strategy for NHS Shropshire, Telford, and Wrekin Integrated Care System.
