Dr Jo Bayley
Jo is a GP and the chief executive of G DOC LTD, the countywide GP provider in Gloucestershire. G DOC covers a 630,000 population; all Gloucestershire GP practices are its members. Jo is a non-executive director of the medical indemnity provider, the MDDUS, and of the South-West Academic Health and Science Network.
Jo was formerly a clinical associate with NHS England, supporting Vanguards and then the establishment of primary care networks. Jo spent two years with the Care Quality Commission, as national medical adviser on Urgent and emergency care. She was previously the medical director of a community provider, Gloucestershire Care Services, and of a mental health provider. Before becoming a GP, Jo trained in emergency medicine and intensive care. She has an MA in medical law and ethics and has studied transformational change in healthcare at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard.
