
Karen Jackson
Karen Jackson has been the chief executive of Locala CIC since March 2018. She is the West Yorkshire sector lead for community services and is an active member of Social Enterprise UK advocating for social organisations and the difference they can make in local communities.
Karen is passionate about the delivery of care where people live and the shift to integrated neighbourhood health. She was a member of the Darzi Expert Panel representing both community services and social enterprise.
With a degree in Genetics from the University of Liverpool, Karen also trained as a chartered accountant with KPMG and worked in the NHS for over 25 years with 10 years’ experience as a chief executive of a number of acute hospitals.
