
Louise Thomas
"Louise has spent over 20 years working within the public sector, working for Local Authorities for over 15 years within the field of Community Safety and as a senior manager within NHS England for 6 years.
During the period of 2009 to 2016 Louise held a senior manager position within a Local Authority in the North West of England, she led on a wide-ranging portfolio with lead responsibilities for transformation and improvement programmes to reduce crime and reoffending rates. Louise was very proud to be invited to Number 10 for an afternoon with the PM as part of her role as a Neighbourhood Crime and Justice Coordinator.
Since joining NHSEI in 2016 as a Clinical Network Programme Manager in Mental Health, Louise had a lead role in delivering crisis service transformation across Cheshire and Merseyside as well as leading a vast portfolio around Children and Young People, Adult Mental Health, Dementia and Perinatal Mental Health. Louise also led an extensive programme around suicide prevention and self-harm in Lancashire and South Cumbria. Louise possesses expertise in Leadership, governance, partnership working and operational delivery.
Louise attended the University of Teesside, where she was awarded an MSc in Contemporary Issues in Drug Use & a BSc (Hons) degree in Criminology. In 2009 she was awarded, by the Open University, a Professional Certificate in Management. She is also a qualified Project Manager with the relevant Prince2 Practitioner qualification. Louise has recently undertaken the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson programme with NHS Leadership Academy and is waiting for final results for her MSc Healthcare Leadership (due March 2025)."
