Mehmet Bulut
Mehmet joins the policy team at the NHS Confederation as a health policy analyst. He has previously worked within the NHS at NEL CSU, as a management consultant specialising in data and analytics, and has experience working at NHS Improvement’s operational productivity directorate, supporting the Model Hospital platform with the generation and development of economic performance metrics. Mehmet also has some pharmaceutical industry experience.
Most recently, Mehmet worked as an economist at the Office of Health Economics, undertaking literature reviews and contributing to white paper reports on a range of issues around the pharmaceutical industry. Mehmet is currently undertaking a PhD in health economics at Surrey University, exploring the relationship between social capital and health and health inequalities – with a particular focus on social prescribing schemes. He has also been a fellow at the RSA since 2020.
