Mustafa Malik
Mustafa has been chief executive of the Greater Peterborough Network (GPN) since 2017, a GP federation in the East of England that covers a population of over 270,000 patients with 29 member practices.
Previously to GPN, Mustafa was the chief executive of the Cambridgeshire out-of-hours service and prior to that spent several years within the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group.
Mustafa joined the NHS in 2010, leaving the private sector, having worked in various industry roles in utilities as well as financial services, then moving into management consultancy, specialising in government advisory within several of the large consultancy firms.
His training and academic background is within the legal field, possessing a Masters Degree in law, focusing his research on the relationship and proportionality of crime and punishment.
