Penny Pereira
Penny leads Q: a community of thousands of people across the UK and Ireland, collaborating to improve the safety and quality of health and care. Q includes a participatory grant funding programme, Q Exchange and Q Labs, bringing people together to make progress on complex challenges.
Penny previously led the Foundation’s work on patient safety; improving flow across systems, leadership development and achieving change through networks. She’s co-author of the Foundation’s recent report on developing learning health systems in the UK.
Before joining the Health Foundation, Penny was the Director of Strategy and Service Improvement at Newham Healthcare NHS Trust. Penny has spent her career leading improvement work at local and national level in the NHS, with particular expertise in process and system redesign and leading strategic change across organisations.
