Sajidah Ahmad
Sajidah works for the NHS England Joint Cyber Security Unit and has a background in Communications and Marketing. Her communications career spans the public and private sector and included leading a number of public service broadcast campaigns in the UK and Middle East.
She is also a nature enthusiast and runs a community investment company which aims to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of marginalised communities, by supporting better access to outdoor spaces and natural history education.
Sajidah, along with Sabina, co-founded and co-chairs the NHS Muslim Women's Network in 2020 and both were named by HSJ as one of the 50 most influential Black, Asian and minority ethnic people in health. The network, which has over 200 members, supports Muslim women working in the NHS and wider health and care sector across the UK in a variety of ways, including raising awareness about the inequalities faced by Muslim women, providing a safe space for members to raise their concerns, influencing policy and strategy and supporting networking and professional development opportunities.
