Salma Yasmeen

Salma Yasmeen is the Chief Executive of Sheffield Health & Social Care NHS Foundation Trust, taking up post in July 2023.

Prior to July 2023, Salma was Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Strategy and Change at South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.  

Salma started her career as a mental health nurse and joined South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in 2017.  Prior to this she was the Director of Nursing and Transformation for a large medical city in the Middle East.  During this time she led the development of the medical city’s approach to transformation and building capability across the diverse workforce. 

Salma brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership skills and experience from her time in health and care systems, leading innovation and change in organisations and across systems with people at the centre.

Salma is passionate about public services and the role that they play in addressing inequalities and enabling every person to live a safe, connected, meaningful and healthy life. 

Salma is also an advisory Board member at the Huddersfield University Business School and Thirteen Housing group in North East Yorkshire.
