Steve Ollerton
Dr Steve Ollerton has been GP partner at Skelmanthorpe Surgery in Huddersfield since 2003, nurse practitioner trainer from 2004-2007 then Practice Based Commissioning board member 2008-2012. He became Chair of Greater Huddersfield CCG in 2013. He led a public consultation on Calderdale and Huddersfield hospital reconfiguration in 2015 which is still ongoing.
Steve has sat on the Yorkshire and Humber Clinical Senate since 2014 which has involved sitting on many reconfiguration panels both regionally and nationally.
Clinically, Steve’s specialist interest is in diabetes and minor surgery. He is passionate about new models of care and IT projects within primary care. As a commissioner, he tends to be involved in planned care / pathway redesign and finance / performance.
