Vicky Connelly
Vicky Connelly is the deputy chair of the Women and Allies’ Network and health and wellbeing engagement advisor at Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS).
She has worked for the Ambulance Service for 10 years, working across 111, Fleet, Quality Improvement and Health and Wellbeing. Prior to working for the NHS, Vicky was a support worker for adults with Autism and this role really sparked her passion for helping others.
She is proud to be the deputy chair of the Women and Allies Network at YAS. The Women and Allies' Network aims to provide a safe and supportive space for women, colleagues who identify as a woman and male allies, to come together to celebrate women in the workplace, and champion issues that only affect or disproportionately affect women in our Trust. The network currently has 3 key priorities:
- Women’s Health
- Women’s safety
- Women’s progression.
Vicky is passionate about people and ensuring others feel safe, supported, and empowered in the workplace. Women’s health is very important to her and ensuring that both our male and female staff have the knowledge and training of how to support one another at work.
Vicky is am a firm believer that many small positive changes can have big impacts and can often result in making a difference to our colleagues’ working life.
