Wendy Craven
In her role as clinical director for Primary Eyecare Services Wendy has a commitment to advancing eye care accessibility via the largest optometry 'not for profit' lead provider of enhanced eye care services in England. Her leadership has been instrumental in driving the delivery of standardised enhanced eye care services throughout Greater Manchester and the north-west of England.
In response to the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Wendy supported the delivery of several COVID Urgent Eyecare Services (CUES) across England. This initiative not only addressed urgent eye care needs during a critical time, but these services have remained in place, ensuring continuous access to essential eye care services.
Wendy's professional journey is marked by her proactive involvement in various healthcare initiatives. As a former clinical lead for Bury Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), she gained valuable experience in shaping local healthcare strategies and serves as the vice-chair of the Greater Manchester East Local Optical Committee.
