Zoe Mitchell
Zoe was appointed to the role of service user representative on the Mental Health Network board in September 2024.
"As a service user representative from Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, I am passionate about achieving positive changes in the mental health system. I have struggled with mental ill health since childhood, with experiences of both inpatient and community care, receiving treatment for a range of conditions including PTSD, anorexia nervosa and EUPD.
Now that I am on my journey towards recovery, I want to use my experiences to help others. As a member of the autistic community, a particular area that I want to focus on is improving the understanding of neurodiverse challenges in mental health care."
