An ageing population, coupled with an increasing number of people having multiple and complex needs, means the demand for health and social care services is predicted to grow rapidly in the near future.
There is a real need to shift, at pace, the health and social care system in Wales away from treatment to an integrated system based on wellbeing, prevention and early intervention as set out in the Parliamentary Review report.
