Please note this guidance relates to the NHS in Wales.
The need to successfully manage industrial action is a key challenge for many employers and managers. These guidelines have been developed to provide managers with written advice on action they need to take and responsibilities they will have during a period of industrial action.
These guidelines provide general advice on managing strike action, including Action Short of a Strike (ASOS), but cannot cover every eventuality. For advice on specific situations and/or circumstances, managers should contact a senior Workforce and OD manager, who where appropriate can seek legal advice.
