NHS payment reform proposals 2019/20: NHS Clinical Commissioners' response
NHS Improvement and NHS England not gone far enough to ensure payment system supports new approaches providers and commissioners are adopting locally.
Following extensive member engagement, including a series of webinars, teleconferences and a workshop, we responded to the NHS England and NHS Improvement engagement process on payment reform proposals.
In our response we welcome the payment reforms outlined in the document as being a welcome step towards supporting integrated health and care delivery models. Overall, however, we are disappointed that NHS Improvement and NHS England have not gone further to ensure that the payment system supports the new approaches that providers and commissioners are adopting locally.
