At the end of December the Welsh Government launched a consultation seeking views on proposals to mandate the use of Health Impact Assessments (HIAs) in Wales.
The proposed regulations will require public bodies to undertake a HIA when making strategic changes, consulting with their partners and service users. The Welsh Government hopes that these regulations will help to ensure a focus on healthcare equity.
The Welsh NHS Confederation has gathered the views of its members to respond to this consultation.
