Race and health observatory opportunities
Support the NHS in improving healthcare access, experience and outcomes of black and minority ethnic patients and communities.
The independent Race and Health Observatory has been established to support the NHS in improving healthcare access, experience and outcomes of black and minority ethnic patients and communities.
Hosted by us and commissioned by NHS England. The Race and Health Observatory will focus on evidence-based, actionable analysis examining ethnic health inequalities in outcomes for patients, communities, services and employees (particularly in the NHS), in support of the delivery of the Long-Term Plan for the NHS in England (and the supporting strategies for its delivery).
The objectives for the observatory are to: -
- facilitate new, high-quality and innovative research evidence;
- make strategic policy recommendations for change;
- help facilitate practical implementation of those recommendations
